Charlie Clark

Charlie Clark is the executive director of the Wheelock Society. He graduated from Dartmouth in 2011 with a degree in Classics. As an undergraduate, he was a regular contributor to The Dartmouth Apologia and served as its second editor-in-chief. In 2010, he was a founding student trustee of the Wheelock Society, and he joined the board as an alumni trustee in 2017, serving as chair from 2019 to 2023. After Dartmouth, he attended the University of Tennessee College of Law, graduating in 2014 with a concentration in business transactions. After law school, he lived and worked in his hometown of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where he managed his family’s fourth-generation scrap metal recycling business. He and his wife Sarah (D'11) returned to the Upper Valley in 2020. Their daughter Alice was born in 2022. He was a founding editor of Fare Forward, a Christian review of ideas, and continues to write for Fare Forward, Mere Orthodoxy, and for his homepage, Lost Cove Inn. His favorite things include Walker Percy, Marilynne Robinson, Frederich Buechner, T.S. Eliot, Wilco, Songs: Ohia, The Mountain Goats, the everybodyfields, Twilight Struggle, Root, Terraforming Mars, Wingspan, and Green Chartreuse.
